Sweet Pond's rural setting does require the use of an automobile but we hope to limit car trips through car pooling, bulk purchasing from the Brattleboro food Co-op, and hopefully becoming a CSA drop off site. More public transportation is available in nearby Brattleboro in the form of Amtrak and bus lines. Sweet Pond is in close proximity to a number of airports including Hartford Bradley which is a bit under 90 minutes away.
By car Sweet Pond is an easy drive into Guilford Center, the Village of Algiers, and Brattleboro. I-91 runs through Guilford and goes North along the New Hampshire Border all the way up to Canada and also to I-89 which splits Northwest to Burlington. Heading South, it crosses MA Route 2 which goes East to Boston, and runs down through Massachusetts and Connecticut to I-95.
Hartford Bradly International Airport
Hartford Bradley International Airport is the nearest major airport and is located 81 miles from Sweet Pond.
